At Harboe’s we aim to create a dynamic working environment, where commitment, responsibility and high ambitions go hand-in-hand with a flat management structure, excellent teamwork and high job satisfaction. We want to create results that bring value to all our stakeholders, and we follow a strategy that will strengthen our international position and create even greater recognition for our brands. As part of our strategy, we also work continually to develop and introduce new products and strong brands, which will drive our continued growth and create excellent experiences for consumers.
We have breweries in Skælskør, Germany and Estonia – and we market our products in more than 90 markets all over the world. We are always looking for new talent that can contribute experience, great ideas and enthusiasm to the results we achieve together. We offer local and international career opportunities within a broad range of areas, from production and supply chain to R&D to finance and sales and marketing.
We believe that a good career is built on responsibility and development, and we can offer both of these.
Norelvys Triana Gonzáles, 32 years old. Brand Manager, Harboe Sales & Marketing.
”It’s fantastic being part of an international team where every day we’re in contact with customers and distributors all over the world. I’m actually from Cuba and my colleagues come from more than 10 different countries. This makes for a special and very dynamic working environment, where we share experiences and input from the markets every day, which in turn provide fresh inspiration and perspective on how to successfully market our brands locally and internationally.”
Jan Koch, 25 years old. Controller, Darguner Brauerei.
”I’ve always been fascinated by beer brewing, and it’s a daily joy to be able to go down into the ‘engine room’ and analyse how we can further optimise our processes and quality. It’s also really satisfying to see that the analyses we prepare are used across the organisation and turned into decisions.”
Steen Høeg Larsen, 46 years old. Regional Export Manager for the Nordics, Baltics and England, Harboe Ingredients.
”It really means something when you can see that the products we develop actually make a real difference to both our customers and consumers out in the world. Our malt extract is used e.g. as an ingredient in many different breads, and we constantly strive to make our applications even better and more targeted. We do this by working closely with our customers, who we invite to workshops in our test bakery, where we try out new varieties and analyse what difference these make to flavour, consistency, shelf-life etc.”
Kjeld Rinfeldt, 51 years old. Section manager at the canning line, Harboes Bryggeri A/S.
”Everything I know about production I have learnt here. It began with a job as a brewery worker, then training as an industrial operator, and now I’m responsible for a three-shift team, who ensure that the canning line runs around the clock. Almost 20 years have gone by, and it’s always been a pleasure to go to work. This is largely due to the fact that we have great respect for each other and each other’s work, no matter where we are in the organisation. We have a flat structure here.”
Diogo Joao Portugal Nunes, 30 years old. PhD (Applied microbiology), R&D, Harboes Bryggeri A/S.
”Harboe made my shift from research into the ‘real world’ a fantastic experience, where we have the opportunity to convert knowledge into new and innovative products. I joined the R&D team two years ago with a focus on developing ingredients, but I’ve since had the opportunity to work further with beverages, in particular developing new beers. It’s very inspiring to work as part of the international development team and to have the opportunity to pursue and try out new ideas and concepts, and to turn these into reality in close collaboration with the other parts of the organisation in Harboe.”
Hussain Zaitoon, 34 years old. Service technician, Harboes Bryggeri A/S.
”I was educated as an electronics engineer assistant in Syria and my job was to repair and maintain X-ray scanners at Syrian hospitals. I arrived in Denmark in 2016 and through the job center in Slagelse I was offered an internship at Harboes Bryggeri A/S. I had a great reception at the brewery and soon had the opportunity to retrain in order to transform my skills to new assignments in a new line of industry. Today I am permanently employed as a service technician and the well functioning work environment with my colleagues mean that I am both improving my working skills and learning to understand the Danish language and culture better.”
