The first Bear Beer bottle was launched in 1974 under the Danish name Bjørne Bryg. In the early 1980s, the first international agreement was established. Ever since, Bear Beer has travelled the world and is now available in more than 60 countries.

Bear Beer is Harboe’s largest international beer brand. The beer is brewed in accordance with the German Reinheitsgebot of 1516, which strictly stipulates that beer may only be made from four ingredients: water, malted barley, hops and yeast. The carefully selected ingredients give Bear Beer a distinctive taste of the highest quality.

The polar bear has, throughout all years, been a central part of the Bear Beer brand.
